    কসাই
            নির্মলেন্দু গুণ

একদিন এক বিজ্ঞ কসাই
ডেকে বললোঃ এই যে মশাই,
বলুন দেখি, পাঁঠা কেন
হিন্দুরা খায়,
গরু কেন মুসলিমে?
আমি বললামঃ  সে অনেক কথা,
ফ্রেশ করে তা লিখতে হবে
কর্ণফুলীর এক রীমে।
কসাই শুনে মুচকি হাসেঃ
বেশ বলেছেন খাঁটি,
আমি কিন্তু একি ছোরায়
এই দুটোকেই কাটি।
