Bangladesh's ace cricketer Shakib Al Hasan recaptured the No 1 all-rounder slot in the latest Reliance ICC Test Player Rankings which were released on Monday.
His regaining the top ranked all-rounder spot comes after South Africa's Jacques Kallis' poor performance both with bat and ball in their just concluded three-match Test series against England.
Shakib's collection was still 404 points as he has not played any Test match during the last one month, according to an ICC press release.
Kallis closely followed Shakib in second place with 390 points. Australian all-rounder Shaun Watson joined the top five and he was in third place with 334 points.
New Zealand's Daniel Vettori and England's medium-pacer and Twenty20 captain Stuart Broad were almost going neck-and-neck securing fourth and fifth place with 320 and 318 points respectively.
On Tuesday, South Africa displaced England at the top of the Test rankings with a 51-run victory in the third Test at Lord's to secure a 2-0 victory in the series.
South Africa have secured 3002 points and 120 in ratings from 25 Test matches while England made 4195 points and 117 ratings from 36 matches.
Shakib also occupied 14th position in the top 20 bowlers with 678 points.
Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal joined Shakib in top 40 batsmen's list with Tamim standing in 29th position with 622 points and Shakib in 33rd position with 596 points.
Shakib was ranked as the top all-rounder after a series of strong performances in the Asia Cup in March this year.
Meanwhile, Kumar Sangakkara of Sri Lanka became the top ranked Test batsman securing 892 points while South Africa's Hashim Amla was second with 869 points.
South Africa's Dale Steyn was the top bowler with 902 points while his team-mate Vernon Philander was ranked second with 852 points, his career-best position.
